It was an eventful race and a vibrant weekend! This piece is inspired by the flowers and patterns in Dia de los Muertos costuming, as well as Mayan iconography. It is an aerial view of the circuit and can be read in a clockwise manner. The top bar shows the starting straight and Yuki’s tire careening off the track following his crash with Alex Albon. The painting continues to the bottom right corner to show Lando’s line as he is forced to cut across the grass to avoid a collision with Max Verstappen. Their battle continues back up to the left as the lines representing Lando and Max again leave the track and go wide through the high speed corners. This leaves an opening for Charles to sweep through and climb up to second place.
