A turning point for the 2024 season and yet another dramatic incident to add to the books at Austria’s iconic turn 3. It felt like the first time in years that Red Bull has looked fallible and it changed the dynamic of the season moving forward.

I made a template of the shape of the track and overlayed it on top of itself to show the different lines that Lando was trying in order to overtake Max, but I also wanted it to show how each driver was then over the boundary lines of the track after their collision. Max with his punctured tire barely able to keep it on track, Lando onto the grass, and both inefficiently hobbling down around the track back to the pits.
